So here's the latest bull shit from Governor Rick Scott's (R. FL) crony group against Charlie Crist (D. FL):

Let’s Get to Work, a PAC affiliated with Gov. Rick Scott, is going on the attack, hitting former Gov. Charlie Crist for his support of President Barack Obama’s federal health-care law. Despite spending most of his career as a Republican and only joining the Democrats at the end of 2012, Crist is the favorite for his new party’s nomination to challenge Scott in 2014.
"Charlie Crist’s unwavering support of Obamacare and its disastrous effects on the 300,000 Floridians that are losing their current health insurance plans is alarming," said Lenny Curry, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) on Monday. “Plain and simple, Florida cannot afford Charlie Crist and the liberal Obama agenda." - Sunshine State News, 12/9/13
Here's a little more info about the ad buy:

Republican officials say this shows that it’s not just federal candidates who will be tied to President Barack Obama’s health plan next year.
The Republican Party of Florida and Scott’s committee plan a combined six-figure digital buy.
Earlier, Scott’s committee had a broadcast and cable buy for “He’s an Opportunist,” launched the day Crist — a former Republican and former independent — announced. - Politico, 12/9/13
But if there's anyone who should be tied to Obamacare, it's Rick Scott:

Here's the rub though: back in February Scott endorsed a Medicaid expansion in Florida under Obamacare, but the Republicans in the state legislature refused to approve it.
"I cannot, in good conscience, deny the uninsured access to care," Scott said at the time. - TPM, 12/9/13
Yep, here's some more details:
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/...
Under Scott's proposal, the state would only commit to the first three years of the expansion and the federal government would cover the entire cost. After that point, Florida's participation will have to be reauthorized. Under President Obama's health reform law, Obamacare, the federal government's contribution to states would slowly decrease after the first three years, bottoming out at 90 percent of the cost of the expansion in 2020.
Scott stressed that his decision is not a "white flag of surrender to government-run healthcare." Instead, he explained that his decision was based on his commitment to providing coverage to every Floridian. "We have a Supreme Court decision and an election that says this is the law of the land," he added.
Scott's announcement represents an about-face for the Republican governor who has ardently opposed the health care reform law and even promised to opt out of the expansion last summer. Scott explained Wednesday that the recent death of his mother gave him "new perspective" and said he recalled her struggles to attain care for his sick siblings as he "wrestled" with the decision. - TPM, 2/20/13
Womp womp. Scott's cronies need to lie and distract voters and make it about Crist because Scott doesn't really have a strong record to run on:

Perhaps the lesson to be learned is that gubernatorial candidates should be cautious when pledging how many jobs they’ll create. In Wisconsin, Scott Walker (R) vowed as a candidate to create 250,000 jobs in his first term – and after three years in office, it’s clear Walker will come nowhere near fulfilling his pledge.
In Florida, Rick Scott was even more ambitious, assuring voters statewide in 2010 that he had a plan to create 700,000 jobs if elected. The Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times conducted a very thorough review of the Republican governor’s record on job creation and found that the promises have gone largely unmet.
Gov. Rick Scott has staked his political future on his ability to bring jobs to Florida, but the first comprehensive review of his efforts shows few successes and hundreds of unfulfilled promises.
The Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times reviewed public information for 342 job-creation deals that involve various tax breaks since Scott took office in 2011. Among the findings:
Of the jobs Scott can influence most, only a fraction now exist. Scott has pledged $266 million in tax breaks and other incentives in return for 45,258 new jobs. But 96 percent of the jobs have yet to materialize, according to state data. - MSNBC, 12/9/13
Not to mention this guy isn't really helping Scott either:
http://www.miamiherald.com/...
Adam Hollingsworth sometimes gave an aw-shucks self-deprecating line when he gave advice: “I’m just a guy with a P.R. degree from Alabama.”
It was a lie.
And it caught up with Hollingsworth, now Gov. Rick Scott’s chief of staff, when The Miami Herald-Tampa Bay Times Tallahassee bureau exposed the academic fraud on Friday.
Hollingsworth didn’t just verbally deceive people. He twice explicitly allowed his former employer, CSX Corporation, to issue press releases in 1998 and 2002 saying he graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree.
Hollingsworth had no degree at the time. He earned one years later.
“I am not proud of this and I deeply apologize for this misrepresentation,” Hollingsworth said in a written statement.
“I have learned from this failure in judgment and know that, over the last several years, my life and character have and will continue to grow from this.” - Miami Herald, 12/8/13
We should be expecting more of this bull shit from Scott between now and election time. I say we help Crist fight back. If you would like to donate or get involved with Crist's campaign, you can do so here:
