None of you on the left seem to understand that this is a middle of the road issue. First of all let me say this up straight I HATE GUNS. I do not believe in hunting with guns. Yet that is my own view. I do not wish to push my own view of hating guns onto another person who has guns. You see I have family that goes hunting. I believe they do have a right to enjoy their hunting. As long as they aren't harming anyone I'm fine with their act. I can put my views aside.
Instead of banning guns we need a National ID database set up to keep track of people. This would be similar to how our Drivers License work with the Real ID that Republicans love. You from the right should not tell me that this is a a issue because you love to have us get a ID to vote which is the same concept for guns. If it isn't right to vote then why is it right not to have one to own a gun?
This national database would be tracked by all states. It would be pulled up at gun shows. The ID card could tell the person with one swipe of the record the person has. Think of it like driving a car.
If you do something bad while driving a car we take away the right to drive a car. All Americans can buy a car, but that doesn't mean all Americans should be driving a car. You get tickets as well as fine based on the car so why not do this to guns with a national ID card? The guidelines for the card would be set up by a federal guideline that has to be followed to get the card. Rules would be applied and must be followed to keep the card.
This is where the criminal background check would come in to place as well as mental if some wanted to go through it. Instead of having to go through it to buy a gun every time we would streamline it in order to get a card.
The reason why this is the correct way to go for gun control is the left just makes people mad when they ban assault fires. We have done that before. You also feed into the Tea Party that they are coming to take away the guns. By doing a national Data base you aren't telling them you are taking away the gun instead you are telling them that you are allowed to get the guns. This would also allow tracking of how many guns a person buys. The card would keep track of all guns owned by the person because it would be added when they bu y the gun.
A way to waver all fees for the cost of the national ID card would be to have a person who is willing to do national guard or has done military duty that served the country in some way to waver it. This way you also support the troops as well. You know how Republicans like to support the troops. The National ID is our best way to push gun control that could actually do something to help. It would revolutionize how we think of Guns in this country.
