C-SPAN Washington Journal Call-In 2-7-13 Sequestration:, yes, cut the military budget
Host: Randy is an independent in Butler, Oklahoma; and Randy you're on the Washington Journal, good morning.
Randy: How're you doing?
Host: Good, what's your thought about sequestration?
Randy: Well I think they ought to let it go through. The military budgets have doubled in the last 12 years, and the Research and Development part of that is over 60 billion dollars. That's not buying any tanks or anything. We've spent 200 billion on the F-22 program; the fighter that no one wants so there is plenty of things to cut there. And yeah, go ahead and raise my taxes, I realize that gotta bring in more money and I'm a grown up and I'll just take home less money, but we got to keep the government going. And thanks for letting me talk and have a great day.
Host: That's Randy in Butler, Oklahoma.
