We all continue to get outraged about the increasingly bold examples of influence-peddling corruption that have infected every single federal regulatory agency in the country. Now they don't even pretend to be honest any more. They are blatantly protecting their white collar criminal cohorts in the business sector, especially in banking and finance.
I argue that one of the reasons they are getting so bold, and the level of corruption becoming so endemic, is because they don't fear nor respect the citizenry. They really, really, really have no respect whatsoever, nor fear of any kind of the people.
In fact, they--these disgusting and grotesque parasitic sociopaths--think we the people are chumps. They think we are too stupid to realize what's happening, and even stupider to do any goddamned thing about it.
People are so outraged that their emotions range from feeling totally powerless in the face of the influence-peddling corruption, to expressing thoughts about guillotines.
I believe that there is a lot of room to maneuver in between those two extreme options, and because of it, I'll always be trying to reach out to others so we can coordinate actions in that space. For the latest outrage, check out bobswern's diary: LA Times: FDIC Covertly Settled “Scores” Of Bank Fraud Cases Since 2007
Here's an idea... All I need is just a little collaboration from the readers, and I'll do the rest: I want to draft a very powerful, poignant, direct, and even a little scary (but without crossing any legal boundaries) epic letter of no more than four paragraphs.
I want the letter to touch on some key messages: Wall Street and corporatist cartels are committing crimes, looting and pillaging the country's coffers, and impoverishing the citizenry; because of revolving door and influence-peddling corruption, government officials on the take are participating in a massive and criminal cover up with impunity; this has caused the system to become so predatory, evil, and oppressive, that the citizenry can't take it any more and because of it, we will organize a relentless activist campaign against it starting with massive rallies and protests this Spring or Summer.
“If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”
― Albert Einstein
Before I continue, I'm aware that many people don't believe in street-level protests, but I argue that no social justice movement has ever succeeded without that tactic as part of an overall strategy. Whether the reader agrees or not, I welcome input in any of the three areas.
Once I get enough input, I will draft three to five letters and will put them up for people to vote on and select the most powerful and intimidating of them. Once the letter is selected, I will draft a one-page PDF document using powerful graphics/pictures (with a revolutionary tone).
You can submit your idea here, or use my online forum.
Then I will reach out to every concerned citizen here at Daily Kos, on twitter, on facebook, my nationwide activists email list and ask people to download the one page PDF letter and send it to the the Justice Department, the FDIC, the FCC, and other corrupt, on the take, federal regulatory agencies in the country. I will also ask people to send the letter to every major (debased, propagandist) news media outlet in the country.
“A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!”
― Thomas Jefferson
An I will ask people to share the letter far and wide, to use social media to share it, to inform as many people as possible about what's going on, and to start thinking about rising up in peaceful protest starting this Spring.
For those who don't believe something like this could happen, but can still contribute their insights and share their ideas, don't let doubt prevent you from sharing those ideas. I don't mind waving the banner of (peaceful) revolution by my lonesome self; the day will come when people will rise up. I'll be right with them.
We live in a nation where doctors destroy health; lawyers destroy justice; universities destroy knowledge; governments destroy freedom; the press destroys information; religion destroys morals; and our banks destroy the economy.
- Chris Hedges
So remember: this is a highly strategic move. We'll draft a powerful, poignant, moving letter, after having people voted to select the best. We'll have thousands of people send the letters individually (via email or regular mail) to these corrupt regulatory agencies. We'll send the letter to all major media outlets. We share the letter far and wide using every possible method, trying to inspire people. And finally, we select a day in Spring or Summer to rally against the corruption (hopefully in multiple cities).
Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.
- Frederick Douglass
It may sound a little complicated to some, but all I'm asking you to do is to write! Get inspired. Reach deep down, channel your outrage at the corruption, and put down words to it. That's all you have to do! I'll run with the rest.

Here are some great quotes by Mahatma Gandhi, for inspiration:
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
“Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory.”
“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
