Eight former Drug Enforcement Administration administrators warned the federal government this week that time is running out to nullify Colorado and Washington's new laws legalizing recreational marijuana use.
The warning was issued in the form of a joint statement.
Meanwhile, federal legalization of recreational marijuana took a step forward yesterday as Democrats announced appointments to a new committee of House and Senate lawmakers to draft bills.
Republicans were quick to criticize the joint committee.
Once again the workings of the federal government prove you don’t have to be stoned to giggle at the news.
