Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who has made a national splash since getting elected late last year and is widely seen as harboring national ambitions, will be the headliner at the New York State GOP annual dinner next month, according to an invitation the group is circulating.
Yes, this is the same Ted Cruz who voted against Hurricane Sandy relief aid as one of his first acts as an elected official, calling it "pork." But even though he wanted to leave New York high and dry after Hurricane Sandy, the state's Republican Party wants him to headline their first big fundraising dinner of the year. What a bunch of morons: Cruz all but raised his middle finger right to their face, and their reaction was to invite him to a high profile fundraiser as a guest of honor. They'll never learn.
