It looks like South Africa is way ahead of us in civilian use of remote-piloted drone aircraft.
The Register reports:
Organisers of South Africa's OppiKoppi Music Festival are promising attendees the chance to order a beer and have it parachuted out of a drone and into the campground.
the service is crude as it relies on a parachute ... how that will work in a festival campground is not explained, but needs to be given ownership of a cold beer would surely be strongly contested as it fell to earth.
Here's some definitely non-lethal beer technology. German engineering at its finest!
I'm sipping a Bitburger Pils, and then going to meet a friend for dinner and probably a couple more beers. What are you drinking?
