Organizing for Action, a non-profit advocacy group set up for the purpose of boosting public support for President Barack Obama's agenda, has announced that it has cut its 2013 fundraising goal from $50 million to $25 million:
On Sunday, The Washington Post reported that OFA "has halved a $50 million fundraising goal for its first year after slower-than-expected fundraising, according to people familiar with the group's plans. The decision came after the group reversed course and said it would not accept corporate funds."
While Organizing for Action has been criticized by some progressives for being unwilling to criticize the Obama administration, the sole purpose of Organizing for Action is to boost public support for President Obama's agenda. The main reason I've been critical of Organizing for Action is because former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI), now the head of Progressives United, exposed Organizing for Action as a front group
that is trying to sell access to President Obama!
