Low Power FM has a small window to make a big impact!
Our high school had a 10 watt radio station. When I was a junior, I had a hour radio show on Saturday nights. I learned allot, spoke my mind, and got my fear of public speaking behind me at an early age. Though my ideas and politics have changed and hopefully evolved over the years, I never lost the lessons learned from having that radio show in school.
After hurricane Katrina, I worked with Prometheus Radio Project to help in Dulac and Golden, LA. Their radio station continues to share information with tribal members and fishermen about the issues they face in the battle over the BP Oil spill.
