The title is a reminder that almost every day a military family gets the terrible news about a loved oneI Got The News Today (IGTNT) , which began in April of 2004, is one of the oldest continuous series on Daily Kos and provides members of this community a venue to pay their respects to those who have died as a result of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Department of Defense announced today (May 31) the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunezrodriguez, 29, of Pasadena, Texas, died May 30, in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his vehicle struck an Improvised Explosive Device.
He was assigned to the 68th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
According to the Department of Defense the remains of Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunezrodriguez arrived at Dover Air Force Base July 1 for transfer to his family.
No other information about Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunezrodriguez was released.
RIP Staff Sgt. Joe A Nunezrodriguez. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
