Monday! I have a couple of "Household Hints" books, but I thought I'd look online and see if I found anything fun =)
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
We have split up the publishing duties, but we welcome everyone in IAN to do daily diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
Ok, we have a current diary schedule. If you would like to fill in, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMom a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FSNMom is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.
Monday: BadKitties
Tuesday: bigjacbigjacbigjac
Wednesday: Caedy
Thursday: weck
Friday: FloridaSNMOM
Saturday:broths
Sunday: loggersbrat
If you'd like to be part of the Itzl Alert Network, please leave a comment asking to join, or send us a message asking to join. We'd love to have you. The bigger our network, the less likely someone will be stranded all alone.
No dust bunnies in HER house!
Hints that I never saw before:
4. For smelly plastic food containers toss a ball of newspaper into container and seal lid. Smell will be gone in a few days, stronger smells may take longer.
6. To clean pots, pans, or casserole dishes that have brunt on food, place a couple of dryer sheets in them and fill with hot water let it soak for a few hours. Then wash and rinse.
11. Oops, dropped a raw egg on the floor? Grab the salt shaker and pour a thick layer of salt over the egg and wait a few minutes, then clean up and discard.

Why everyone needs a cat =)
Handy hint 1 - bananarama
Pull bananas apart before displaying them in your fruit bowl. If you leave them connected at the stem, they'll ripen faster and go brown quicker. Who knew?!
Handy hint 2 - flexible vacuum
To suck up hard-to-reach gunk under your fridge, or behind a bookshelf, insert an empty paper towel roll into the end of your vacuum cleaner and bend, or flatten it, to squeeze into these difficult spots.
Handy hint 8 - reopening envelopes
If you seal an envelope and realise you've forgotten to include something inside, just place it in the freezer for an hour or two and voila, the envelope will unseal without a trace!

Uh...okay...
This one is a useful tutorial. I'm going to do this with my son's and DH's tee shirts. Then they won't dig through the neatly folded stacks and make a mess. Hopefully.
How to fold and store tee shirts to save space
Do you have any favorite hints? I'm getting ready, sort of, for Spring cleaning. Mainly because I am hosting a baby shower in March and lots of grandparents will be there =)
