A story on this phenomenon caught my eye the other day. (http://www.kansascity.com/... )
"Here we go again!" I thought, as I read this nonsense.
This is another example f a conspiratorial fleecing of American citizens in the attempt to produce undue profits.
Supply and demand are real aspects to consider; but this is borderline criminal in its construct, and we know it! I watched a story on the news and some company stooge was saying something about "transportation problems, which are attributed to the cold weather!"
Cold weather? IN the winter season? Wow! Now there is an unprecedented point of view, for certain. Imagine the concept of having cold weather in the winter time of the year: it's almost unbelievable! Yeah, right!!
They did this by researching the long-range weather forecasts, I did this myself, so I cannot assume that U am the only person with this capability.
People are choosing between food, and fuel, and all because of that "non-existent" entity "corporate greed"! Make your money, companies should be profitable, but how much is enough and to what degree should moral interactions be expected of and extended from these corporations?
Propane is not in shortage: we all know this.
But I am left to ask: when are we as consumers going to exercise our entitlements to not purchase some of the crap that we are being shown as being the "bangles of success" in deference to buying the necessities and living inside of a set of responsible principles, instead of falling into the trap we know for sure has been set to snare us into a life of debt and uncertainty, as we chase our own slice of the pie?
I know that people deserve much better treatment than this, and I also know that we have the true power to remove this to a great degree from our lives.
Figure it out, we are "We The People". I see that Thomas Jefferson's exhortation that citizens should inspire fear into the governments by being responsible and active voters and constituents, has been largely ignored and in its place, we subscribe to "reality" programming, where we are fed the streaming of marketing ideas to purchase the very crap, that has put us in peril in the first place!
We can do better than this four ourselves and for our country; but we have to first...DO BETTER!
