We're not used to this and I am posting this up swiftly but multiple reports from locations 200 miles apart of a mild tremor in the Carolinas.
More text and 'stuff' coming as I get it going.
Report in, Southeast Kossacks. Let's figure out what and where this is, because last time I felt a quake the Washington Monument cracked.
10:37 EST: Atlanta reports tremors too.
10:39 Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia and Charleston (SC) reporting in.
Also August, GA and of course Charlotte (NC) here.
Looks like Edgefield SC is our epicenter.
Shakemap here
10:57PM EST: Reports at this point are mostly on the "Oh, that was nothing!" stage. Delaware reports no tremors, so we're not talking of a Great Quake of '11 repeat as of this posting. Looks like we have as good an excuse for an open chat as any. Carry on. :)
11:07 EST: Myrtle Beach TV provides graphic of where quake was felt. What's interesting is how the quake was felt more strongly at greater distance in a band running parallel to the mountains. Is there Doctorate of Geology in the house?
