Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D. NY) is wasting no time lending a helping hand to Senator Jeanne Shaheen's (D. NH) re-election bid, especially with former Senator Scott Brown (R.?) eyeing to take out Shaheen this year:
Former Sen. Scott Brown is running in New Hampshire against Jeanne Shaheen, setting up the most expensive race in the country and the one that could decide control of the Senate.
Brown will be the best-funded candidate in New Hampshire history and his entrance into the race means the special interest floodgates will get thrown open. Karl Rove’s Super PAC, American Crossroads, is launching a $600,000 attack ad buy against Jeanne on Tuesday, bringing the total attacks to almost $1.5 million – and Brown hasn’t even been in the race for 24 hours.
I need you to join me to raise $150,000 in the next 48 hours to re-elect Jeanne and save the Senate. The stakes are too high to fall short.

Jeanne’s seat is key to keeping our Democratic majority, but it will not be easy – the Kochs and other far-right groups are on the attack. Now that Brown is in, Jeanne will face tens of millions more. Her only chance of winning comes through you standing with her.
Women make up 51% of the population, but less than a fifth of Congress. That is why my Democratic Senate colleagues and I are rallying to Jeanne’s defense: We cannot lose her.
Jeanne needs our immediate help to build a people-powered, grassroots campaign that can stand up against Brown and the Kochs. It has to be us supporting her and it has to be now. Please, donate anything you can spare.

Women and Democrats have always banded together in times like this. We need to do it again now.
Thank you,
Kirsten
