The GOP has positioned itself as the Ayn Rand Jesus of American politics. They steal school lunches from poor kids. They block Medicaid Expansion. If they had their way they'd eliminate the Minimum Wage. They love war.
Yeah, the Republican Party is a disaster: "Less Popular Than Cat Piss."
Here's flyer content from Georgia. Blocking Medicaid Expansion is class warfare:
-------------------------
o Governor Nathan Deal is a Republican.
o Republicans have two-thirds majorities in both houses of the Georgia legislature.
o They block 600,000 poor people from seeing doctors through Medicaid. These poor people delay until their illnesses are serious enough for the Emergency Room. Then emergency treatment is much more expensive and we all pay for it anyway when hospitals pass on the costs. Forcing use of ER's is bad medicine.
o Simple fact: blocking Medicaid expansion costs Georgia more than $1-billion a year.
o Georgia's Republicans are at war. If your household income is less than $50,000, you are the prime targets. Whether you are White or Black doesn't mean a thing.
[ If you agree please print $5 worth and hand them out. Thank you. ]
----------------------------
That prints out as a flyer. It support the every Monday protests aimed to get Medicaid Expansion. Go one-on-one and create ripples:
-- Print $5 worth, hand them out. Give 2 hours.
-- "If you don't like it or think I'm lying to you, throw it out. If you do like it please print $5 worth and pass it forward. Thank you."
There's a lot of "pass it forward' in the South. Maybe other parts of the country too.
Thing is, today's Republican Party deserves not to exist.
Below the orange muffin for Paul Ryan's "Roadmap" for Class War. And a chart showing the irrational voting patterns of low-income voters. 30% to 40% of them are still in the committed GOP "Base."
We can move a significant number of these votes by going one-on-one and accepting just a little help from Jesus.
Here are Ryan's Roadmap tax "reforms":
This plan discards a needlessly complex and manipulative tax code, replacing it with a simplified mechanism that promotes work, saving, and investment.
-- Provides individual income tax payers a choice of how to pay their taxes – through existing law, or through a highly simplified code that fits on a postcard with just two rates and virtually no special tax deductions, credits, or exclusions (except the health care tax credit).
-- Simplifies tax rates to 10 percent on income up to $100,000 for joint filers, and $50,000 for single filers; and 25 percent on taxable income above these amounts. Also includes a generous standard deduction and personal exemption (totaling $39,000 for a family of four).
-- Eliminates the alternative minimum tax [AMT].
-- Promotes saving by eliminating taxes on interest, capital gains, and dividends; also eliminates the death tax.
-- Replaces the corporate income tax – currently the second highest in the industrialized world – with a border-adjustable business consumption tax of 8.5 percent. This new rate is roughly half that of the rest of the industrialized world.
Note the BOLD offering. This assumes you have an IQ < 60. "Promotes saving"... for giveaways to the plutocrats.
-- Paul Ryan lying about money.
Then we get to the core of our political problem. Republicans still get votes from lower income families. Way too many votes.
Blacks, no.
Blacks have learned what you need to know about Republicans. Their voting percentages rarely give GOPers 10% of the vote.
There's White and Asian votes to be had from the <$50,000 income voter pool:
White people can be as sensibly as Black people.
It is possible. If these Whites move to a ratio of 80:10:10 for Democrat:neutral:Republican this would finish off the Republican Party as a tool for plutocrats/billionaires and this John Birch Society clone we're seeing today.
Lots of states flip: Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, and Nebraska to start.
Get Whites to 60:20:20 for the under-$50,000 voter pool and that flips Georgia, Kentucky, Florida.
Really, go where the votes are. Burn 'em down. The 60:20:20 split gives Democrats the White House and both sides of the Congress.
Go back and read the Ryan swill carefully. They have earned this destruction. Then it's easy: make your local edits, print $5 worth, and start your own ripples in the political water.
