This probably won't be widely reported, since the media generally is more fond of news that involves blood and violence, so I'm going to write a quick diary about it.
Contrary to what some may think, the pro-unity faction in eastern Ukraine actually is larger than the pro-Separatist crew, which has been taking over govt. buildings often with highly-trained pro-Russian/Russian military men in the lead.
Despite the constant threat of violence from pro-Russians and Russians, peaceful pro-Unity protesters held demonstrations in Donetsk, Luhansk, Mariupol, and Kramatorsk yesterday.
Video #1, from Donetsk:
Video #2, from Luhansk:
Video #3, from Kramatorsk(one can see the jeering Titushki-like young men on the other side of the street in this one):
More videos and good photos from this one can be found here:

And last, but not least, video from a large pro-unity rally in Kharkiv last weekend:
Why do I call these people brave for peacefully rallying on the street, you may ask? The answer lies in the next video, which shows pro-Russian/Russian Titushki(thugs) beating the living daylight out of pro-unity male and female protesters who were leaving that rally in Kharkiv. The very bloodied guy lying on the ground is now in the hospital in critical condition, after parts of his skull were shattered and pressed into his brain. WARNING: the video depicts graphic, real violence
After watching that video, I gained a new level of appreciation for my ability to demonstrate peacefully in Germany, where I currently live, without the very present danger of a violent mob hunting me down and beating me to within an inch of my life or even stabbing me to death.
I've also gained a new level of appreciation for the peaceful protesters in Ukraine.
