Hi DC Kossacks! So, some of you know that there's been a bit of buzz surrounding my book event happening in the District, which will be at 6:30 pm on April 30 at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library (sponsored by J Street, Peace Now, Politics & Prose and the library).
Here's the short story: I was invited by the DC Jewish Community Center to speak about my book, What Do You Buy the Children of the Terrorist Who Tried to Kill Your Wife? However, when its CEO learned about some of my progressive political views, they cancelled the event.
Then all hell broke loose, and the D.C. community banded together to bring me in for an alternate event. Which is April 30! And I'm so excited.
If you come, please, please introduce yourself! I've met some truly amazing people while traveling around, and would love to meet more.
If you do plan to come, let me know in the comments so I'll look for you, and be sure to sign up at the link at the top of the diary.
