Received this e-mail today from VoteVets:
Whether you own an NBA basketball team or represent a Congressional District in Iowa, there's no room for bigotry in modern American society.
And while only the NBA owners can do something about Donald Sterling, we can do something right now about Tea Party Congressman Steve King.
You see, Steve King has compared immigrants to dogs and said that the vast majority of undocumented workers were drug runners. He also claimed that al-Qaeda would be "dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11th" if someone of Barack Obama's "race" and "ethnicity" were elected.
The good news is, this November, a strong progressive, veteran candidate - Jim Mowrer - is giving King the challenge of a lifetime.
Contribute $10 to Jim Mowrer's campaign and let's send Steve King packing this November.

Jim joined the Iowa National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2005. His job was to help locate IEDs and his unit served the longest deployment of any in the war -- almost two years.
He returned to Iraq again in 2009 as an advisor, and is now back home trying to continue his service to country as a member of the United States Congress.
Your $10 contribution right now will help him get there:

This is a close race, but Steve King's Tea Party allies won't let him go down without a fight.
So let's give them one.
