Whatever, fella.
Congressman Michael Grimm, who is facing a 20-count federal indictment on wire fraud, tax evasion and a slew of other charges, says he’s actually a lucky guy. [...]
“The support has been overwhelming,” he said. “In all sincerity, I am one of the most–strange, it might sound bizarre–but I really am one of the luckiest members of Congress. And I say that I because I have salt-of-the-earth people in my district. Staten Island and southwest Brooklyn are just goodhearted, hardworking, regular, everyday people.”
As opposed to the constituents of every other district, who are bastards. And, luckily, Grimm has an internal poll that shows mmfh hmmfh blarp.
“Listen, I’m going to fight these charges all the way and I’m going to win my election,” Mr. Grimm replied when asked what his internal polling shows for the race. “This is not the first time I’ve had a lot on my plate.”
What was that? Couldn't quite catch that, but I think you meant to say your internal polling shows that the good, salt-of-the-earth people in your district have no problem
re-electing an
indicted congressman with a history of
bizarre behavior. Yeah, that's probably it.
