I didn't hear it on MSNBC. They are usually too busy politicking to mess with mere news.
And for SURE, not a word on CNN, with it's "news" reduced to one story a week, punctuated with an occasional tabloid story.
Damned if I didn't hear it on Fox. On Shep Smith's show, even though he was off for his Friday. It went by lightning fast. If you blinked, you missed it. But it was there.
Yeah, a freighter had an accident. (I swear I thought I heard "tanker")
It was carrying more than 70,000 litres (15,400 gallons) of diesel fuel.
Guess where?
THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS. Wasn't it f*king bound to happen?
And Kudos to Fox for clueing in their viewers that the Galapagos has a fragile ecosystem. The Fox website does have a rather humorous comment:
"The Galapagos' unique flora and fauna helped inspire Charles Darwin's theory of evolution."
According to BBC, the ship's cargo has since been safely offloaded, "but the authorities said pollutants, like motor oil, inside the vessel could spill and cause environmental damage."

Really sad how the environment that keeps us all alive is held in such low esteem by even the "respected" cable stations.
