Hi is me gain exlrrp and its that 3d Saturday of the month again. My Saturday. control of your computer will be returned to you in a reasonable amount of time.
So what are we working on now? here's my latest project, once again its back to the siding. I did this on the other side of my house, the back side, then the partial front side now I'm pivoting to the rest of the front side. When I started, this house had 4 distinct types of siding on it. When I finish it will have 2 kinds of siding that will look a lot like each other, enough so you won't notice the difference.
So it takes me a while. I paint the components before putting them up---this cuts down on the ladder time
I first put up the felt, then the corner trim, then the window trim. I built the window trim as a sub assembly,
then mounted it over the window.
I got the chance to put up some of the Hardiplank. If you don't see a picture of it here, its only because Google didn't accept my pictures off the camera for back up yet, you'll have to wait. Imagine the green Hardiplank up about 5 ' high on either side of the window. This stuff goes up pretty easy, especially if you have a helper. When putting the black felt up make sure the lines are level---this helps a lot putting up the planks.
I had to run a level line from the existing siding so when I finish the lines of the siding will all match up---nothing looks so boozo as when they don't line up at the corners.
So that's what I'm working on. I had hoped to have it finished in time for this diary but the weather messed me up---it turned nice and I had to go golfing.
What are you working on?
IMPORTANT UPDATE
here's how it looks now. I should be able to finish this wall today
