A new
Huffington Post/YouGov poll conducted July 9-11 reveals:
Sixty-eight percent of Republicans said beginning the impeachment process would be justified, while only 8 percent of Democrats said the same. Independents were divided, 37 percent to 37 percent, while 26 percent said they weren't sure.
Republican voters want impeachment? Who could have possibly guessed? Not surprisingly, high-profile Senate candidates
aren't singing the same song, primarily because they don't want to sound crazy, but the GOP base shouldn't freak out: It's the House that decides whether or not to impeach, and with House Speaker John Boehner already suing President Obama and the GOP in control of the lower chamber, the pro-impeachment crowd has the deck stacked in its favor—at least once the election is over.
