Results:
AP
5:59 PM PT: State Supreme Court: Conservative interests spent big to try and unseat three state Supreme Court Justices, perceiving them as too liberal. So far their efforts are falling short: Each justice leads with at least 56 percent of the vote.
6:02 PM PT: TN-Sen: The more things change, the more they stay the same. Alexander leads Carr 53-38, and it looks like only a matter of time before this is called.
6:06 PM PT: TN-04: With about 30,000 votes counted, state Sen. Jim Tracy leads scandal-tarred incumbent Scott DesJarlais 49-42. Some counties are backing DesJarlais, but Tracy's big lead in populous Rutherford will be hard to overcome.
6:07 PM PT (Taniel): TN-09: We still have no results in the night's main Democratic primary.
6:17 PM PT (Taniel): TN-03: The Secretary of State's website is sort of back up, and they have more numbers than the AP. With more than 41,000 ballots now reporting, Rep. Fleischmann's lead is down to just 2,4% (about 1,000 votes). In Hamilton County, which represents more than half of the counted ballots, the candidates are separated by just 2 votes.
6:17 PM PT: TN Senate: Republican state Sen. Stacey Campfield is no stranger to controversy, with him recently comparing Obamacare to the Holocaust. Apparently even his own party is fed up with him: He's losing 68-28 in his Knoxville-area seat.
6:21 PM PT: TN-04: The SoS is a bit ahead of the AP, and it gives Tracy a 48-43 edge with 38,000 votes in. This isn't over, but not looking good for DesJarlais.
6:28 PM PT: TN-02 Longtime Republican Rep. John Duncan is in no danger of losing (The AP has already called his race), but he's not exactly doing well against his little-known foe Jason Zachary. Duncan, an ally of Ron Paul, leads 60-40. The GOP establishment had little luck trying to take out ideological cohort Justin Amash in Tuesday's Michigan primary, but we'll see if they smell blood next cycle here.
6:29 PM PT (Taniel): TN-03: Conservative Rep. Fleischmann has been losing ground as the Election Day vote has come in, supplementing the early vote. With more than 52,000 ballots now counted, Fleischmann's lead has fallen to just 1% (about 600 votes).
