Received this e-mail today from Mary Burke's (D. WI) gubernatorial campaign:
I didn't agree with President Ronald Reagan on much. But I'll give him this: his decision to expand the earned income tax credit assisted working families by cutting taxes for those who needed it most.
Scott Walker did the opposite: he chose instead to raise taxes on 140,000 working families.
This election is a choice. It’s a choice between Scott Walker's same old partisan politics as usual or getting our state on track again. It’s a choice between putting Wisconsin families first and ensuring they earn a fair wage – or a governor who puts the special interests and those at the top ahead of everyone else.

When I meet great, hardworking Wisconsinites as I travel across the state, I’m reminded why I'm running – to get Wisconsin working again.
The state I love deserves better than the divisiveness of the Walker years. Stand with me today and make this grassroots campaign something Wisconsin will never forget. We need a governor who puts the politics aside and focuses on creating jobs.
Just this week national Republicans launched another false, negative attack on me. Scott Walker continues to play politics because he knows he doesn't have a record to run on – under Walker, we're dead last in the Midwest in private sector job creation. Their attacks don't create jobs or make things better for families, but that doesn't matter to him so the attacks are going to keep coming.
