Resignation Vs. Impeachment
Judge Mark Fuller
In the midst of the barbarism shown by Federal Judge Mark Fuller towards his wife, a growing conversation about domestic violence has been sparked. Judge Fuller did not mince words when speaking about owning up to crime when Don Siegelman was the topic, so I shall give him the same courtesy. I commend members of the Senate and Rep. Terri Sewell in speaking out against his actions and stating he is no longer fit for the job. At the least they gave a straight forward answer based off of Alabama values, unlike Martha Roby that rendered a political stance (no surprise there).
We all agree that judges should be held to the highest moral standard and when that trust is shattered so shall his opportunity to serve. To be clear we have to be cautious to the words of politicians calling for resignation over impeachment. Resigning would leave the public (you and I) to continue providing benefits through our hard earned tax dollars. Impeachment would not only strip title, but it will also ensure that we do not continue to support him or his actions with the money from our blood sweat and tears. Impeachment, that is just thinking right!
