The Republicans feel they are taking the right tack in confusing voters. They've won over some Hispanic voters in Colorado, it seems they've won over quite a few female voters as well. Colorado Sen. Mark Udall is in an extremely close race with Cory Gardner. (3% Udall lead with female voters) It seems even though gardeners record is on the extremist side, he puts out a moderate tone in his ideals. When the printed record shows different, just keep denying it, and eventually people's extremely short memory will come over to his way of thinking. Why folks will vote against their own self interest is mind boggling to me, unfortunately, it seems during this next election cycle, that's exactly what is happening.
As far as the Hispanics go, if they feel the Republicans are going to give them a better shake, more power to them. Hopefully the Hispanics have been paying attention to what's actually being said and done by Republicans who have repeatedly expressed their opinions, and those opinions are definitely not favorable or flattering. It seems that contraception issues and the pay inequity issues and the sexual assault issues are not as much of a driving force as we thought with female voters. Obviously, the situation is much more complex, it seems the Democrats have flubbed things pretty bad this election cycle. The Republicans are aware they have the Democrats on the run, when they can't find a male candidate whose sleight-of-hand is deft then they trot out a woman. That's where the camouflage comes in, a wolf in sheep's clothing. It doesn't matter how many lies they spray out through their teeth, once they have control of the legislature they're in the drivers seat.
