According to the Billboard Hot 100 50th Anniversary top Country Songs the top 5 Country songs of all time are below. 1. "The Battle of New Orleans" – Johnny Horton – Columbia 2. "Lady" – Kenny Rogers – Liberty 3. "You're Still the One" – Shania Twain – Mercury Nashville 4. "Are You Lonesome To-Night?" – Elvis Presley with The Jordanaires – RCA Victor 5. "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" – B. J. Thomas – Scepter
I do not have a problem with most of them, though there are some that I think are missing and one or two I would switch.
How about you? Does “Lady” really belong at # 2? Is #5 really a Country and Western song?
What would be in your top five? I have included the videos for the top 5 hits below, but please feel free to add your own videos if you think any other songs deserve to be in the top 5.
