I don't like to mix politics and Facebook. Not sure why. But today I did. I tried to find the shortest message that would stick to people's minds and persuade them to vote.
Maybe some of you have better and shorter messages that may do the trick. It took me a while to come up with mine.
And I added this picture (which I can't figure how to add as a picture to this post) the sticker that says "I voted today"
And this is my message:
I voted early today! To my Democrat friends in FB: Please vote! Only 2 more days to go! Don’t feel complacent because things look better now. It takes just 10 minutes. Please vote! We have come a long way but there is more to do. In Florida, you can vote to kick out Rick Scott, or to legalize medical marihuana. Vote to keep the Senate in Democrats’ hands. The Senate confirms Supreme Court Appointees, and the Supreme Court makes the big decisions, among others, on gay marriage, a woman’s right to choose, separation of state and church. A Republican-leaning Supreme Court, packed with Bush appointees, decided in 2009 that corporations and wealthy individuals have the right to manipulate elections, even more than they already do, via Super PACs. All we can do to counteract that is to vote. So vote! Remember also that it is always Republicans who want to add stricter voting laws to prevent people from voting. So vote!
