Gov. Paul LePage (R-ME)
Maine Gov. Paul LePage has taken quite a bit of criticism from
Portland Press Herald columnist Bill Nemitz. The night before Election Day, LePage decided to comment on that fact in a way that would
remind everyone why he's seen as the most crass and buffoonish member of the Republican governors class of 2010:
LePage asked for a volunteer from the audience to keep an eye on the columnist.
"I want to put Bill Nemitz on a suicide watch," he said to laughter and cheers from the audience. "We've got to make sure that for the next 24 hours that he doesn't go anywhere near the new Bucksport bridge."
All class, that guy. Also, does LePage not understand that however terrible he may be for the people of Maine, he's gold for anyone who has to regularly find topics to write about?
Nemitz responded with a tweet telling LePage "don't flatter yourself."
