Seriously. That idea can go right to hell.
The Republican's didn't win last night because they play nice with us. They won because they attacked us at every turn, smeared, lied, cheated, bought reporters, lied some more, paid crowds, had the corporations on their side, and lied.
So, saying that now we should make nice and move forward for the good of the country is the exact wrong thing to be doing.
Not ONE step back.
(Put on your fighting shoes on the flip)
Not one step back. Make them abolish the filibuster. MAKE THEM. Don't give in because they are threatening to do it. Make them do it. They want to play hardball, make them play hardball. Don't pre-emptively say, oh, it's ok, we'll give in AGAIN, just so when we are in charge we get to keep it.
When they decide to destroy our new Health Care system, start freaking campaigning on it. Go to the houses of people who are having their health care taken away and personally hand them the notice. Make it personal. Make it human. And above all, make the goddamn Republicans OWN it!
No more wars. They'll push for it. We need to be pushing right back. Last night I had a severe panic attack due to my untreated PTSD. Well, I will be dipped in shit and called a popsicle before I let another veteran go through what I went through without a goddamn fight. We do not need to come together for the good of the country and go fight another war.
If the Republicans want to destroy our country, which they DO, I might add, make them fight for it. Do not roll over and let them have it because you want to seem reasonable. I honestly could give a crap about making nice with them. Don't do it because it will look great when they send us all down the shitter AGAIN.
And remember, you didn't kill Bi-partisanship. They did. Giving it CPR will not bring it back from the dead.
