Dear Senator Hagan and other Silenced Democratic Candidates,
I have already voted for you in Durham for the 2014 campaign. I sent several contributions to you, the DCCC, ActBlue, Dems.org and every other sort of Democrat sending emails every 15 minutes. However, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with what you have done with my money and quite possibly my vote. With all of the many, many ads, you have not taken credit for any of the good policies you voted for with Obama. All you have said is that Tillis is very bad. He has accused you of voting with Obama 95% of the time and rather than running off a string of accomplishments you have responded in ad after ad saying you are an independent and not Obama. The unemployment rate in NC is much better than it was when you took office, seniors with IRA's are in much better shape, employers are hiring again, gas is cheaper, the economy is better in general. There are people who were sick and now have health care, students who couldn't afford college who did not need to drop out, businesses that didn't go bankrupt because of the stimulus, soldiers in Camp Legune who are home from war, homeowners who didn't lose homes....all in NC. There are also people in NC who couldn't get health care because the Republicans refused Medicaid. This is just a glimpse of the good you have done by voting with Obama 95% of the time.
You and many of your Democratic colleagues are so afraid of the racists in NC and elsewhere that you have allowed them to silence you and not spoken up for the good that you and Obama have done. I have voted for you because of what you have done, and in spite of the fact that your campaign was a poor representation of the great Senator that you are and that I hope you will continue to be.
Sincerely, A Grateful Obama Supporter!
