So much to cover tonight on Politics & A Beer Radio!
We’ll be live at 8:30 pm, tune-in at: http://tobtr.com/...
Of course we will discuss immigration, and my two major takeaways from the President’s action:
One is that Barack Obama is a master politician (and I do not use that as a pejorative). This move will put the GOP on the defensive for years on the issue of not just immigration, but overall policy as well as attitudes toward Latinos. Make no mistake about it, the 2016 GOP hopefuls will have oppose the President on this issue, and take a position that will alienate a vast, vast majority of Latino voters.
The second takeaway is that with all three major networks: ABC, CBS, and NBC choosing not to air the President’s speech, conservatives must shut up with the big lie of the “liberal media.”
And since we on the topic of big lies, let’s talk Obamacare.
Monday night’s Politics & A Beer Radio featured a caller from Arkansas, a self-described Tea Party Republican, who claimed he was being forced to pay more for his company provided health insurance due to Obamacare. He went on to cite the “fact” that Obamacare was costing his company, AT&T, one billion dollars, even before the law took effect.
He implored me to “google it,” so I did.
And found out that his Obamacare “Medicare surcharge” that was going to cost corporations billions was another Obamacare distortion of such grand proportion one wonders how anyone could fall it. But we are talking about the racist Tea Party after all.
Tonight I will reveal the rest of the story, and explain how Obamacare closed one the most ridiculous corporate gifts granted by the GW Bush administration.
And why not talk about Democrats being real Democrats and talking about FDR’s Economic Bill of Rights, needed today more than ever!
Join us tonight at 8:30 pm, or as soon as the President finishes his address in it goes past 8:30, and call us 424-258-9273.
