Ft. Lauderdale, Florida has new restrictions on public sharing of food, which went into effect last Friday. And, a ninety year old advocate/activist (man) for the homeless has decided to defy the law (along with some other pastors in the area). He was arrested last Sunday for feeding the homeless in the area, and he was out again yesterday (defiantly) feeding the homeless. The FLPD arrested him once again.
From The New Civil Rights Movement:
NBC 6 South Florida, tweeted a photo (above) of 90-year-old advocate for the homeless, Arnold Abbott, as he returned today to feed the hungry of Fort Lauderdale, defying new city restrictions on the public sharing of food that took effect last Friday.
Arnold Abbott was greeted like a rockstar when he arrived today, ready to give away more food to more hungry people, but the applause was short-lived. Police quickly rearrested Mr. Arnold, (photo right) who vows to fight on.
Inspirational.
