The analysis from Pew says:
Men and older citizens strongly supported the GOP.
57% of male voters favored Republicans.
Women were more in favor of Democrats by a small majority.
Younger voters were strongly Democratic but their turnout was low, very low.
Voters in tha age range 30-45 favored Democrats.
Overall, voter turnout was poor.
