English at the present time is a living language which means that it is constantly changing. Each generation creates its own slang and jargon which changes the language. Steven Pinker, in his book The Language Instinct: How the Mind Creates Language, lists some interesting, and perhaps amusing jargon as a way of showing how language changes:
Ambimoustrous: capable of operating a mouse with either hand
Barfulous: something that would make anyone barf
Bogosity: the degree to which something is bogus
Cuspy: functionally elegant
Dimwittery: example of a dim-witted statement
Geekdom: state of being a techno-nerd
Marketroid: member of a company’s marketing department
Mumblage: the topic of one’s mumbling
Welcome to Street Prophets Saturday. This is an open thread, mumblage of all types is welcome.
