I put this video up so that you can see that something has germinated in the copious piles of conservative bullshit.
It's the thought that maybe science, you know, those people that figured out how things work and how to go to the moon, maybe what they are saying isn't just librul gobblydegook.
But not to fear that conservatives will rush to take up the cause to limit greenhouse gas emissions or to squelch the Keystone XL pipeline. One of the hallmarks of conservatism is to be the last one in the room to catch on. Kind of like Richard Muller, who was sure that all those other highly trained scientists were mistaken, were incapable of figuring it out. At least until he took a look at the data and set them straight.
Conservatives hang on to old discredited ideas like a bulldog with lockjaw. Being laughed at for being behind the times and antiquated is worth it if one time out of a hundred, they can pull out some old saw that still rings true.
So why is this video worth sitting through? I can tell it is going to take me about a week to get through it all, because two minutes at a time is about all I can take of watching the severely myopic leading the blind. But if I can use just one bit of it as a wedge to convince the terminally conservative that climate denial doesn't have to be one of their axiomatic beliefs, it will be worth it.
Maybe you can use it as well.
