Did you ever wonder who decided where and to whom all that dirty Koch money went to and goes to? After all the Koch boys themselves have never had to do the heavy lifting of figuring out how to spend their own money. You could work up a sweat just thinking about it.
Thankfully Kim Barker and Theodoric Meyer have poured through tax records and FEC and court filings to shed some light on the awfully dark anti-democratic world of the Koch boys trying to buy American Democracy.
Their research has shown that the Kochs own rapscallion Rasputin was a misnamed Sean Noble, head of the exquisitely falsely named Center to Protect Patient Rights. His address was a PO Box in Arizona. His weak credential was working as an aide to a Member of Congress.
Can you imagine the power rush he got doling out $137 million dollars just in 2012?
That dark money, so called because the individual donors hide their identities, including: support for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, blaming President Obama for gas prices, and the whole effort of destroying America’s labor movement.
Millions of dollars supposedly spent for social welfare and tax exempt purposes actually went to political action and campaign ads.
Can you imagine a cheap little scoundrel like this trying to decide our future?
Obviously, the right-wing Supreme Court decision on Citizens United is having it’s desired effect of allowing plutocrats to do all they can to buy democracy away from us.
Including here in Pennsylvania where the Koch boys are desperately trying to destroy the labor movement.
It feels kinda odd that after forty years of organizing the preferred targets of the plutocrats and the radical right have turned abruptly from private sector unions to public sector unions. We know why. It is easier to do business in a right-wing corrupted state legislature than in the Congress.
