Can anyone here identify this odd looking canopy? It's sitting next to the forward fuselage sections of a B-45 and B-47 in the restoration yard of the Pima Air & Space Museum. I've combed through images online and can't find anything showing such a canopy. Also odd that it has such restricted visibility, which makes me think it's some kind of observation or instructor add-on, like the stepped aft canopy you see on trainer versions of the U-2 and Blackbird. It could also be that it's meant to face aft, maybe part of some early aerial refueling configuration? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the two bombers it's sitting next to. The lower image shows the other side (it's the striped hump sitting to the right of the two bomber cockpit sections). Clicking on the graphics will take you to larger images on Flickr:
Any help appreciated!
