Let's try a little thought experiment. Let's pretend our collective crystal ball is fully-functional, and we somehow knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that, if Hillary Clinton received the Democratic presidential nomination and was in due course elected president, the United States would be at war with Iran before the end of her first term. Would you vote for her anyway, because her domestic and other policy positions were preferable to those of the GOP candidate?
OK, I know, this is just more pie, a snarky reply to markos' poll yesterday. I can't dispute that charge; of course this is pie. I can hear the demands to "Delete this now!!!" already. I promise it's not only pie though; I'm genuinely curious what the response turns out to be. No, we can't really know the future. Neither however is it breaking news that Ms. Clinton is quite hawkish regarding Iran; the notion that her election would inexorably lead to a US-Iran war is not far-fetched.
Would the election of Hillary Clinton be worth even that awful price?
