"If you want to know a man, do not listen to what he says; listen to
what he does not say." Khalil Gibran
Dick Cheney does not say thank you. Dick Cheney does not say to the families of those who did not come home, "I'm sorry you lost your son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister in a war that I convinced a President needed to be launched. Dick Cheney does not say to those who did come home, "I'm sorry you lost your legs, arms, sight, promising mind as you searched for those weapons of mass destruction that we were so sure threatened our country. Dick Cheney did not say to the American people, "I'm sorry you lost everything you worked so hard for. President Bush and I knew in 2007 that the economy was going to crash, but we were so busy packing and hiding our mistakes that we forgot to tell you."
This man, who is responsible for the deaths of thousands of American military members; thousands more of the sons and daughters of the countries that stand by us and God knows how many how many hundreds of thousands of civilians, does not ask himself who among those might have one day been a President or discovered a cure for cancer. Dick Cheney cannot be bothered with such trivia.
Dick Cheney is a man without conscience, compassion, and heart (literally).
