Received this e-mail today from Senator Mark Udall's (D. CO) campaign:
In 2010 the Citizens United case opened the floodgates to allow corporate special interest groups and billionaires like the Koch brothers to hijack our elections through unlimited anonymous attacks. We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars being spent for the sole purpose of buying an election — with no transparency as to who’s writing the check.
That’s why I’m fighting to pass the DISCLOSE Act in the U.S. Senate in order to require special interest groups to reveal the sources of their big donations. Coloradans have the right to know who is trying to influence our elections and flood our TV airwaves with million-dollar negative campaigns.
Sign our petition to pass the DISCLOSE Act and restore transparency and integrity to our elections.

The Koch brothers, Karl Rove, and other dark money groups have dumped more than $5 million into Colorado alone this year to smear my record of standing up for Colorado. But the source of these millions is still hidden from the public.
Tell Congress: Pass the DISCLOSE Act so we can put an end to dark money spending and restore integrity to our elections.

A Republican minority blocked a 2012 version of this commonsense legislation, but this time around, we’re building a grassroots support coalition to fight back. I hope you’ll join our cause to shine a light on the dark money in our elections.
Sincerely,
Mark
