I do not believe that whites are given inherent advantages over blacks and browns.
I do not believe that men are given inherent privileges that women do not have.
Ditto for straights over gays and bisexuals.
Ditto for cisgenders over transgenders and those who are gender-queer.
I accept the FACT that these and several other privileges clearly exist.
It is a FACT that white, straight, male, cisgendered, and other privileges all exist. Not a belief or opinion: A fact. They have been clearly shown to exist beyond any REASONABLE doubt that one might have to the contrary. (To those of you who are butthurt, and I know you're there because I've definitely heard from you, please reread the word REASONABLE and learn what it actually means, not what you want it to mean.) The issue is as settle and decided as the existence of gravity, evolution, and climate change.
There is absolutely, categorically nothing to debate about these facts.
All that might remain up for debate is how to dismantle these institutions of discrimination. So don't ever say that you "believe in" the existence of X privilege. Say that you accept its existence as a matter of fact. It will not only strengthen your position but bring it in line with reality, with facts.
Just get ready for the swarm of angry fact-deniers when you do.
