The Burtsare probably going to regret inviting Georgia's Republican candidates to publicize their "Fun Farm" just before opening day.
Having a woman, Nydia Tisdale, who'd just won a case in the Georgia courts supporting her right to record public officials, arrestedcan't be good for business.
But Ralph T. Hudgens, the Commissioner of Insurance, who's seeking re-election, is not an unknown quantity. He may, however, be a one trick pony who's been trying to ditch Obamacare for years. Maybe he's particularly sensitive because the Democrat seeking his job is also a woman. Though he doesn't mention her by name, Liz Johnson is even more likely than Michelle Nunn to make him puke. After all, Johnson's got a forty year career in the insurance industry to tout where the obstructionist Hudgens brags about his legislative career.
Is it unfair to have him saying "she's due"? Not really. Johnson's record of running for public office without getting elected is a very Republican thing to do. After all, Republicans are the party of "try and try again" and that's what the political consultant opined and Hudgens did not want to hear.
Poor Ralph. Having to compete with women makes him want to puke.
2014 is the Year of the Woman. No reason why Liz Johnson can't be part of the Democratic resurgence in Georgia.
