Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
Blizzcon 2015 has been announced. Tickets will be on sale for $199 on April 15 at 7 PM PDT and on April 18 at 10 AM PDT. Blizzcon will be taking place November 6-7, 2015.
With that, let's go to the raid reports. Here's Pamena with the Team PM report:
Team PM report:
It was a good week in Lake Wobegon for Team PM, despite missing Dkosmama and Baelzebabe very much. On Thursday, we ventured into Blackrock Foundry as a team for the first time for reals (Taklok reminds me that we'd tried Gruul over a month ago but were woefully undergeared and gave up after a couple of pulls), and successfully took on Gruul and Hanz & Franz. It took a few wipes to get the dances down on each fight, particularly important for the tanks. Since Thanael had only done the fight as DPS (I"m not sure if Taklok had tanked before either, he may also have only pew pew'd before), it took a few tries for them to get it down. Bemused had not seen BRF at ALL, in any form, so the poptart stamping mechanic on Hanz and Franz was particularly "fun" for her! Still, we got them both down, and we look forward to progressing in there further tonight.
Tuesdays are going to be our farm nights for a while, so this week we went back into Heroic Highmaul, with only 13 of us as Iggy and Luna are out this week as well as Mama and Baelz. We roflstomped Kargath as usual, and did the Butcher fairly easily after adjusting the size of the soaking groups back up to 4. We then decided we shouldn't waste time on Brackenspore wthout either Mama or Luna to handle the flamethrower, so we gave heroic Tectus a try - and very satisfyingly got that one down after a couple of tries. So we are now 4/7 heroic HM, and several of us are only 1 heroic kill away from getting mythic gear from HM follower missions, so we will try to get heroic Twins down again tonight before going back to BRF.

Now here's Ninotchka with the Team Kaels and Friday Night LFR reports:
Team Kaels is missing our Overpowered Monk Tank, Sipsy, this week. Ashblade nobly stepped up, despite this being the teeth of corporate tax season, and was an able substitute for our farm nights. Wednesday was going to be progression night, but I had a health scare and couldn't make it.
I'm glad to say that my health scare didn't prevent the Wednesday night Flexorama from going forward! Looking at the logs, it seems you all had a good night and downed a couple of bosses even without my barely perceptible leadership, which makes me extraordinarily happy. Hopefully my new medications will mean no more fake heart attacks and I'll be back to running the flexorama next week.
I also have to add that we had a great Friday night guild LFR last week, and plan to run another one tomorrow night. We weren't able to vote kick anyone, as the DK with Attention Deficit Disorder actually stopped madly pulling all the trash when we asked him to and was rather polite and helpful for the rest of the run. But tune in tomorrow. It's a nice way to get Elemental Runes without as much of the fuss.

Here's Taklok with the Flexorama report:
Flexorama ran Wednesday night into Blackrock Foundry and delivered kills against Hans & Franz and then Gruul. It was a night of hubris as we had an elevator boss death, right after said person claimed "You will not take any damage jumping down" on the way to Hans & Franz. Watching a video is good prep for a fight, however nothing really prepares someone to receive their first Crippling Suplex from Hans or Franz.

Here's my attempt at a Team Z report. Tvath will probably do a better job in comments:
Team Z stomped Normal and Heroic Kargath and got some more practice on the inevitable one-shot of Imperator Mar'gok. I was late but managed to get some loot and do a decent job helping out. Really need to find something more constructive to do in the run-around-in-circles-screaming phases in Imperator which is most of it.

Per this morning's MOTD, the GV needs Raw Beast Hides and Draenic Dust.
That's all I have for this week. For the Horde!
