"A Female shouldn't be president" says Cheryl Rochefort Rios of Dallas, Texas....because you know, the Bible tells us so....plus "the way men look at women".....just to drive her point home....
Rios posted her opinion in opposition to Hillary Clinton’s announcement as a Presidential candidate for the 2016 election on Facebook and has received thousands of irate responses. But Rios went well beyond a political position. She says a President should always be a man.
“A female shouldn’t be President,” is a direct quote from a Dallas woman’s Facebook page and subsequent interview.
"There's an old fashioned Biblical sound reasoning in my mind why a woman shouldn't be president."
Continuing with her (thoughts), Cheryl Rios also stated: "running my own business, I know, sitting across from a man, you're gonna be looked at a certain way. Do we want that in our presidency, by no means no."
"We're built differently, we do have different hormones."
Here’s the full text of her post on Facebook:
“If this happens – I am moving to Canada. There is NO need for her as she is not the right person to run our country – but more importantly a female shouldn’t be president. Let the haters begin . . . but with the hormones we have there is no way we should be able to start a war. Yes I run my own business and I love it and I am great at it BUT that is not the same as being the President, that should be left to a man, a good, strong, honorable man.”
Why is it that all these Rightwing nut cases continually try to turn back the clock to a previous century?
Oh...the good ol' Bible strikes again. Remember when "they" used to say that a woman shouldn't work outside of the home or couldn't be in the armed forces or that women couldn't be police officers or fire fighters, or governors, or senators....or vote...or that women should remain subservient to their husbands?
She's moving to Canada if Hillary is elected. Will she follow in the footsteps of other Rightwing bigots and racists and misogynists who claimed the were moving North if Obama won? People like Ted Nugent, Rush Limbaugh, Stephen Baldwin and their ilk...all still here, I might add....or maybe they can all just occupy Sarah Palin's back yard in Wasilla, where they can keep a watchful eye on Russia from her porch.
What decent business owner would want to employ the services of a women who thinks a man will do a much better job at promoting their business, because you know, women aren't capable enough (because) they "have different hormones" and they'll be looked at in a "certain way"....I ask rhetorically.
Imagine what Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, Indira Ghandi, Isabel Peron,
Kim Campbell, Portia Simpson Miller, Erna Solberg, Cleopatra, Corazon Acquinos, Mary Robinson, Ruth Dreisfuss, Mary McAleese, Janet Jagan, Ruth Metzler-Arnold, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Mireya Moscoso, Tarja Halonen, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Megawati Sukarnoputri, Micheline Calmy-Rey, Valeria Ciavatta, Nino Burjanadze, Ellen Johnson Surleaf, Michelle Bachelet, Doris Leuthard, Pratibha Patil, Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, Dilma Rousseff, Atifete Jahjaga, Joyce Banda, Park Geun-hye, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and scores of other female leaders of their country would have to say to the likes of Ms. Rios, ultimate misogynist and hypocrite.
