From Talking Points Memo:
"Can you tell the country, sir, why you are content -- with all the fanfare around this deal -- to leave the conscience of this nation and the strength of this nation unaccounted for in relation to these four Americans?" (Major) Garrett asked.
"The notion that I am content as I celebrate with American citizens languishing in Iranian jails --" Obama said. After a pause, he added "Major, that's nonsense. You should know better."
He went on to argue that tying the release of the jailed Americans to the nuclear deal would have given the Iranians more bargaining power. Obama further assured that his administration wouldn't stop pushing for the jailed Americans' release until they are let out and reunited with their families.

Here is the smackdown:
Later asked about the reception to his question, according to the TPM article, Garrett said, "Clearly it struck a nerve. That was my intention."
Major Garrett currently works for CBS, but he was, until recently, a Fox News "reporter", so it's no mystery where he learned such outrageous disrespect.
