Not this crap again.
Hillary Clinton may possibly have paid $600 for a haircut, according to a story the always reliable New York Post broke, which is of course being picked up in fine outlets like The Hill.
Can you imagine if the media covered male candidates like they do women? To get his hair in the news, a male politician has to charge an expensive haircut to his campaign (John Edwards) or get it on the tarmac of an airport (Bill Clinton). But Hillary Clinton's hair is just news, all on its own, just by growing out of the head of a woman rather than a man. Or what about men's suits? Those are often very expensive, but we don't hear much about them. Whereas Hillary Clinton's pantsuits, like her hair, are fair game in the media.
And the same outlets that want to talk about Hillary Clinton's hair are much less interested in talking about the economic inequality that leads to the existence of salons charging as much as some people pay in rent.
