Republican senators have politicized the Petraeus investigation as indicated in the CNN report below. This has never been reported at Daily Kos before and is a breaking news update.

1 HOUR AGO (CNN) U.S. Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham said Saturday that the leaking of information about the investigation of former CIA Director David Petraeus was "outrageous."
"While the facts of the case involving General David Petraeus remain unknown and are not suitable for comment, it is clear that this investigation has been grievously mishandled," McCain and Graham said in a joint statement.

Gen. Petraeus was one of America's most highly decorated retired generals and military officers and former CIA Chief. He is now accused of improperly sharing classified information with his biographer and mistress with whom he was having an extramarital affair, during the wake of the Iraq crisis wherein the Bush administration lied us into a war.
Federal prosecutors recommend filing charges against retired Gen. David Petraeus over classified documents that he's accused of leaking when he headed the CIA. When Petraeus resigned his post in 2012, he cited an extramarital affair with a woman whom investigators suspected of receiving secret data.
