The right to be murdered by being thrown from a tall building, apparently, is gay rights for Daesh. The photos below the fold reveal the basic story. More here.
ISIS/Daesh is not alone in their persecution of LBGT. They seem to be drawing on a hadith about Ali bin Abi Talib, the cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Ali allegedly ordered death by stoning for one gay man and had another thrown head-first from the top of a minaret. (Ed. C. Bosworth, E. van Donzel, The Encyclopaedia of Islam, Leiden, 1983) Ibn al-Jawzi records Muhammad as cursing sodomites in several hadith, and recommending the death penalty for both the active and passive partners in same-sex acts. Sunan al-Tirmidhi wrote that Muhammad had prescribed the death penalty for both the active and the passive partner: "Whoever you find committing the sin of the people of Lut (Lot), kill them, both the one who does it and the one to whom it is done." Al-Nuwayri in his Nihaya reports that Muhammad is alleged to have said what he feared most for his community were the practices of the people of Lot. Abdullah ibn Abbas: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done'." See also Sunan Abu Dawood: 38:4447, 38:4448, 31:4007, 31:4008, 11:2169, 32:4087, 32:4088.
Currently, the maximum penalty for homosexuality (defined as one man receiving anal sex from another) is the death penalty in: Iran (by hanging), Saudi Arabia (beheading), Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mauritania, Sudan, Brunei (by stoning), northern Nigeria, Hamas controlled areas of Palestinian territories, and on the books (although not practiced) in some Emirates in the UAE.
Since 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran has executed more than 4,000 gay men.
In Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Malaysia, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan the Maldives, Indonesians in Aceh, etc., homosexuality can be punished with jail time or fines.
Less than 5% of the population surveyed by Pew in Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan, Indonesia, Tunisia and the Palestinian territories agreed that ’’Homosexuality should be accepted’.’ No surprise, there is no freedom of speech there to engage in open public debate, let alone satire like that in Charlie Hebdo.

The
Old Testament and (less so) the
New Testament also has prohibitions against homosexuality, but they are not practiced literally in the West, and one can speak critically of them without fear of death, jail, or lashings.
By contrast, even suggesting that the Quran or hadiths should be (re-)interpreted or are allegories (not literal fact), is a crime in many Muslim-majority countries, punishable by death in some. In September 2014, Iran executed 37-yo psychologist Mohsen Amir Aslani, in part for teaching that the story of Jonah and the Whale should be interpreted as a symbolic tale, not as a literal fact. There is no freedom of speech there to speak out openly against LBGT bigotry, or for most other liberal causes.
