What might our world look like if bigotry, hatred of minorities and discrimination were self-ostracizing (as perhaps they should be!)? They are far worse than anything their discriminated-against targets ever could have done, and they weren't BORN that way. They have CHOSEN to be that way - invariably for dramatic political and economic advantage.
So .... I was thinking ... What if the emphasis in captchas was on humanity, rather than mere non-botness?! What if relative inhumanity could be excluded?!Wouldn't that be a magical, fascinating thing?
The definition of captcha, as may be found just about anywhere (so I'm not linking) is:
Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart
Then I wondered what such captchas might look like ...

(These are all screenshots of captchas, for the sake of discussion. Not actual captchas. For now.)
In other words, captchas they are technically capable of solving, but which, for the life of them!!! They canNOT bring themselves to type!!!
Perfect!
And the Killer Captcha to end all captchas (for them!)!
Cheers to ...
Particularly the patrons of ...
Special thanks to fakecaptcha dot com for the captcha renderings!
I had to make myself stop, I had many more ideas! What conservative-excluding captcha(s) would you like to create? fakecaptcha will oblige!
Thanks for reading tonight! And special thanks to snow-brillig for the format collab!
There were a ton of comments for Top Comments tonight, but, alas! Buried under mounds of white stuff! Leaving this sole entry from dear Mopshell!
Brillig's ObDisclaimer: The decision to publish each nomination lies with the evening's Diarist and/or Comment Formatter. My evenings at the helm, I try reeeeallllyy hard to publish everything
without regard to content. I really do, even when I disagree personally with any given nomination. "TopCommentness" lies in the eyes of the nominator and of you, the reader - I leave the decision to you. I do
not publish self-nominations (ie your own comments) and if I ruled the world, we'd all build community, supporting and uplifting instead of tearing our fellow Kossacks down.
From Mopshell:
Here's a fascinating comment worthy of wide readership. I think most, if not all, my submissions to Top Comments have been humorous ones. Not so this time.
In Vet63's short but very candid diary I Was Wrong, NonnyO wrote this thought-provoking and very apposite comment with a mind-blowing quote from "War is a Racket" by Smedley Darlington Butler.
Top Mojo for yesterday, January 25th, first comments and tip jars excluded. Thank you mik for the mojo magic! For those of you interested in How Top Mojo Works, please see his diary FAQing Top Mojo.
